The mission of AFSP is to save lives and bring hope to those who have been impacted by suicide.
The grassroots work our chapter does focuses on eliminating the loss of life from suicide in Georgia by: delivering innovative prevention programs, educating the public about risk factors and warning signs, raising funds for suicide research and programs, and reaching out to those individuals who have lost someone to suicide.
We have suicide prevention programming that is appropriate for workplace settings, as well as curriculum that is taylored for parents, LGBTQ, Latinx and African American. Beyond the workplace setting, we offer programming in schools and to general community. AFSP's signature programs are delivered for free and can be delivered in person or virtual.
Beyond prevention programming, we offer resources for those who've had loss. We also have volunteer leadership opportunities within the chapter in order to help move the essential work of AFSP forward.
